Well, here's a free trial version of a program that will convert videos to MPEGs, and (I assume) allow you to compress..

It works with Win98...

Yes it does..... They are a great band I can tell.... Some people dont appreciate live music..... However I do

..... Playing live is the hardest...some people just dont understand.....I will upload a couple of my old live trax.. I was not singing then (backin' vox only)..... I am currently working on my "Live" stuff for next year.... its hard work..

Windows Movie Maker will also get the video from your VCR or camcorder onto your hard drive, then allow you to edit...

And the files play quite readily and easily on almost any pc...

downloaded the software at above link, and then tried to convert from avi to swf. so looks like its a jobby for tomorrow. Best bet is to convert to swf, otherwise file is too huge - 139 KB on avi :tongue

Paul, yes, I agree, I dont think people realise. That's why its great to be appreciated by other musicians who go for more than the wrapping.

Don't know how functional the Demo version is, but it will cut the size of the AVI WAY down to RM format...may sacrifice some quality, but the size difference is substantial...

Debbie, THIS is a live recording of the last band I was in, recorded live at a working mans social club in Sunderland, UK....

I played Keys in this band.......

Horns, brass, piano and organ where all done on my Yamaha SY77....

I may be bias.. but I think the singer, Angus, has a good voice live.... as well it was our 4th night in a row, wich all singers know can take its toll, especially in those dumps we used to play... :lol

You might have to right click and save target as, or left click and it streams with most players...

very good cover. Yes, he has a great voice - definitely not bad on the 4th night. And the horns and keys sound very authentic

. I used to do harmonies for midnight hour in another dance band...

The recording of This one's mine was a second night's gig. The previous night was a 3 hour gig at 48th street. I was praying my voice would hold out, especially for Riverdeep mountain high, where I take some hi-eeeeee notes!

We dont have a keyboardist (pity) so we kind of convert all our songs into guitar rock! Doesn't sound much like the original, but what the hey! We do a mean sweet child o mine, a mix of the GnR and Sheryl Crow!

My SY77 was an awsome tool in its day, I edited the brass sound to my taste and split the keys to the different sounds...

I did get a hold of a DX7, cant remember if I had that on that night??

Yeah there is more..... nearly an hour and a half..... I will sort some good and bad ones out to post......
