I mean, no one outside of MP3.com knows what it is anyway.
It was a nice feeling when I reached the top 5, but, at the end of the day, it means .... well.... nothing.
I can't disagree more here.
Without the NMA program, even this board here wouldn't exist.
I met incredible artists (NMA) from all over the world because of MP3.com and the NMA program.
It saddens me a lot to se, that MP3.com may not survive this summer if not an investor takes over the URL and infrastructure with a ongoing concern, which is rather unlikely.
It took years for MP3.com to reach this amount of artists and cross-connections.
No other site managed to come close to MP3.com in the terms of content, exposure and ongoing contacts. All sites had the same time though... there will be even no alternative on the horizon capable of building a similiar catalogue over the next years.
