As I'm upgrading to VST I bought an Evolution MK-249C Midi controller today, under the advice of my local music dealer :eek I didn't buy an Oxygen 8 because it only has 25 keys, but i had a demo on a friends PC and it worked fine.

The goal here is to connect the Evolution to my PC's USB port, and link my ol` trusty keyboards and kit via my Phillip Rees V10 midi unit. Won't be using onboard audio yet because i'm weighing up the pros and cons of a hands on digi mixer (Korg D12) or buying a reasonable sound card using Cubase for Audio.:dunno



Is anyone here already using a soft/ hardware mixed setup?

I have a Shure SM58, Stereo FX unit and 4 Compressors i want to link up too, so a digi mixer is my current choice.

Also I'm a Hardware freak....:bleh



Any advice welcome:ft
