the Leonardo quiz

I seem to have got two answers...

Musical thinkers:

* Tend to think in sounds, and may also think in

rhythms and melodies

* Are sensitive to the sounds and rhythms of

words as well as their meanings.

* Feel a strong connection between music and emotions

Like many musical thinkers, Leonardo loved to

sing, and had a fine voice Other Musical Thinkers

include Mozart, John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix

Careers which suit Musical Thinkers include

Musician, Music teacher, Sound engineer, Recording technician

-------------

Naturalist Thinkers:

* Like to understand the natural world, and the

living beings that inhabit it

* have an aptitude for communicating with animals

* You try to understand patterns of life and natural forces.

Like other Naturalist thinkers, Leonardo longed to

spend time in the countryside. He spent hours watching

birds to understand how they flew. Other Naturalist

thinkers include Charles Darwin, Jane Goodall, Johnny Morris, David

Attenborough

Careers which suit Naturalist thinkers include

Biologist, Meteorologist, Forester, Farmer,

Astronomer, Alternative therapist

Surprise surprise I'm a MUSICAL thinker.......... I knew that though cause I tend to use 'audio' type words to describe things - "That sounds like a good idea." "I hear you" etc.

Apparently people are either audio or visually motivated - visually moved people say "I see what you mean" "It looks good to me" Funny hey!

Politician, psychologist, counsellor, teacher....

looks like they covered pretty much all the bases hehehehe. I wanted to become a nurse soon after school. But I took very seriously the fact that the sight of someone getting sliced or being given an injection made ME ache physically. I didnt think I'd have the stomach for it. I dont know whether anyone else has experienced this phenomena. Its not fun to have such extreme sympathetic reactions. arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh.

I hear you, Debbie....

When I was a kid, I dreamed of becoming a Veterinarian.

When the time came to make the decisions, I thought about it seriously enough to realize that I wouldn't be able to handle the emotional strain.......

I emote too much to be of any real use to an animal that is suffering.

I have some medical people in my family, and I believe that to work efficiently on that level, you need to be able to turn off the emotion, and act on pure logic.......

Pure logic is not my strong point....

I also have a lot of medics in the family - we grew up with a real skeleton under the bed, used by three generations, including my sister. The skeleton was called Freddie :D .

But I "nursed" my dying aunt through her cancer, combed her hair, brought her food, massaged her, sang to her (she always made me sing to her at night). She died when I was about 10. I helped wash and dress her body too, when she died. And I used to give another diabetic aunt her insulin injections (just subcutaneous) every morning, soon after college. It really took some nerve for me to do that, but I got used to it. I draw the line at watching people being cut. urrrrrrk. For me its a relief when people are out of their pain. I think I've see too much of it.

I think too many doctors these days are coldly and logicaly in it for the money, not for their hypocratic oath to save lives. There are lots of these types in Hong Kong. One guy wanted me to have surgery because of "grumbling" appendicitis, without even doing further tests. Also, some do research and write papers for fame and power and the money it will bring, I worked with a surgeon who used to write papers on the utmost crap topics of no use to anyone in this world, and use stats to justify his position, just so he could get published. Wish more docs could use less logic and more caring.

Anyway, less of that, less of that...You'd make a good vet Drooly. have you read any James Herriott? Pretty cool author. Also Gerard Durrell. I'm sure you'll love those guys.

Matress not what you meant???

:aua

I'll christen you Drooly Freudian...:D ok ok just kidding! I know what you meant hehehehe

Well three family members, including my sister are docs. They all went to medical school at St. Johns in Bangalore. So ever since I can remember, we had Freddie in a trunk under the bed... They had to study him, and when one finished school, many years later, another started. Nobody was scared of Freddie. We used to use him to play some ghoulish games when we kids.

anyway more later, gotta dash to work now!

cheers

debbie
