Oh I didn't see Debs pics last night - hahahaha Talk about double posting! hahahahahaha You look great Debbie! Did you manage to get into Victoria Park? One of my friends spent 4 hours getting out of there and then another 3 walking to Government Offices - he gets my VOTE :banana

:aua Highly likely. That was the Chinese flag and he had a little portable speaker and handmike thingy.

Seismic ...:rollin

CHRIS! I wanted to call you but in an effort to travel light I only carried my waterbottle and my ID and some cash and my CC. midway through I realised I'd forgotten the phone :D . In any event, there was no hope of finding anybody in that crowd.

I come from North Point, the crowds actually started from Fortress Hill! A SEA of people. So we went via Tin Hau, couldn't get into Victoria Park, and just continued on with the tide. That was the best thing to do. Once on the street things moved along quite snappily. But hats of to those who stayed in the park not moving for hours on end.

And the buses and trams, everyone in them flashing posters against the windows, sticking their heads out and cheering! wheeeeeeeeeeeee

I wish I'd made a banner. Well next time I will!

500000 people. I'm amazed at how peaceful and CLEAN the protest was, not much littering... wonderful.

Thank God you didn't end up stuck in Victoria Park - did you see the photo from the Standard? A tram is enveloped by people - hahahahhaa Some other friends also did what you did. Apparently Tin Hau station was more packed than Causeway Bay station.....

I wanted to take my "NO" banner but left it behind in the wake-up, jump into clothes, get on ferry state of semi-consciousness....

Revolution in tha air! Maybe in some way and hopefully not in a big way some of you may understand our stand on such things as a right to bear arms---it was written in our constitution so the people could fight back if the govt. tried to take away freedoms. personally, i don't like guns, but now maybe you can sense a little of why it is so important to us as is freedom of speech and assembledge--Our constitution is written in such a way that insured that we stayed free from our government.(In other words keep us from ourselves). Hey, kinda' like "The Day The Earth Stood Still"---don't mean to sound like a doomsdayer but your situation could deteriorate rather swiftly. The Communist Chinese government has been known to come down hard and fast on it's own people........Keep Marching...Keep on Keepin' On!!
