Besides, If we DID get an offer (dreaming here), due to 1sound's efforts, I would WANT them to get their fair share.

Have you noticed that this thread is gettin scant attention? I wouldn't be having this convo with you at 1Sound BB becaus e I stronlgy suspect that they would delete it.
My point? Very few musicians learn about the music business. They think that if they get offers that an Attorney or Mgr. will sort things out. New flash! Those are at times the very people that help the musician get screwed over.
I get frustrated because I really try to eductate and have musicians educate themselves but very few do so. I hate to see them get cheated. What do I get for my efforts. A bunch of shite, mainly. It really galls me when musicians defend music sites that are actually taking advantage of them. They don't see the reality.
Oh, well man I tried to expalin a few basics to you. It seems that you think you know more than I do. I do get paid for consultations so I am not going to spend any more time with this.

Yup, yup, I think most of us have spent 50 bucks just going out for pizza, beer, a night on da town or a friendly eve of cut-throat poker at home, DM! Not a biggie in the grand scheme of finance!
I wouldn't share a big concern in worrying about points. You know Col. Tom Parker got 50% of Elvis ? It's a worry that *should happen*! It would be unrealistic for everyone who uses any like services to expect something exceedingly wonderful, but it can't hurt to have one more person plugging where you have not or cannot.

I already said the $50 don't mean shite. It's the freakin' terms of the Contract that are the screw job. I rest my case case about most musicians being ignoramouses &/or just plain stupid.
I agree with this statement 100%. And Drooly is living proof. The contract IS a screw job.

uh, Larree...?
I don't think you're quite qualified to tell me about screw jobs.
Remember the mp3 auctions?
I spent 50 bucks, signed nothing, and may get some good mileage out of it.
Trust me, Sir, I am no fool with money.

You are a MAJOR fool because you think you are so damned signable. So how old are you? You are WAY over the age limit, I am sure. Believe me...after the "label" guys hear a few crappy submissions from the 1sound crew, they will be tossing all future submissions into the round file. You are totally ignorant as to how this biz works. You would be better off finding ONE entertainment attorney who believes in you.
btw, you have signed. In case you didn't know it, your "digital" signature is considered legal and binding. You are a blind fool. Good luck!

I don't have any regrets about that! It was FUN! I had a good time! The only reason I stopped was 9/11. So get a clue, drool. I would spend another 100K on mp3.com auctions before signing away my future for $50 like you did!

And you have signed. A DIGITAL signature is binding.

...no attorney is going to try to shop you to a label because the attorney knows that the label will never let him or her back in the office ever again!
And that is not a diss on you or your music. It is simply reality.
