Good luck. I am surprised that 1Sound Records didn't make you an offer. Maybe they are not ready to sign any Artists yet. I still feel that the Deal sucks. The $50 is not really the issue. That's a minor point. It's what they want if they actually get an offer for the Artist and the Artist signs one. That's where the screw job takes place. I guess you just don't understand their deal. Oh...well I tried to warn Artists about that but fools rush in. :ft

Here's something for you to seriously think over:

With all the promotion that Rod has given the Hobos why hasn't he got the band an offer? Do you really think that the lack of the $50 is the reason or that the band didn't sign the crappy Deal? If he could have gotten offers he would have informed you of it and then asked you to sign the deal. He didn't because in my view he cannot get your band an offer or he would have.

Obviously you don't watch much of MTV. VH1- maybe if the band has a few hundred thousand dollars behind it in promo.

Press kits mean almost zero. A&R might give them a glance. They put the CD in; if they don't hear $$$ they toss the Press Kit in the garbage. If Rod had any bites on the band he would have informed you. He didn't need to rep. the band to put out feelers. I suspect he doesn't have anything for the band except hyping on the BB and some features.You are real ignorant when it comes to the real music business.

Also, the back end of that Shopping Deal is a screw job. I explained why before when I went through the terms of it. You probably didn't read that or if you did just didn't understand why I say it is a screw job.

Posting all over the place about this was foolish, especially on mp3.c where quite a few Artists mistrust Rod and don't like 1Sound. Many there are not morons and they know the Deal sucks. Hell, even Larree,who is a moron,knows that.

Nope. Just frustrated. You obviously don't understand the terms of the Deal or you just don't care what might happen down the road. I won't take anymore time to explain why the deal sucks. If youp paid me I might. It would be time consuming and difficult to go bit by bit and explain why the screwing gets done on your back end.

ok - big deal - I spent 50 bucks.

I now have a shot at getting our music heard by some real players.

If someone offers us a serious contract, I can still refuse it.

Just the ability to play in those leagues is worth more than 50 bucks.

Which is what I'm now doing.

The rub: If any of those Labels make an offer you cannot make a deal with them on your own bypassing the 1Sound Deal for a period of 12 months. This Deal has more holes than Swiss cheese.

I don't know what the Letter of Intent means, in strict legal terms.

But I haven't signed any legally binding contract yet.

I've paid 50 bucks to make some noise in the right places.
