Publishing is a comlicated and tough.



BTW Chris since you publish songs, have you placed any songs with other Artists?

It's working now - but not much is there - the two threads here seem more informative!! :seismo





Sorry - missed yr question there Phil. Only 2 songs, and it was hard hard work - one was translated into Mandarin - we got paid but the artist never put the song on the final album. The other song ended up being a 'live' cover but the artist has no intention of recording - long story behind that one.

There is a lot of work if you don't mind your songs being translated into Cantonese/Mandarin.......



I'm more focused now on getting music into movies. :banana

There's not much there because I amnot going to go detail by detail regarding what's wrong with that Contract. That Forum is also real slow.



I sure would like to have songs in films and TV, as well. It's as tough as anything else. In that arena contacts are key and real difficult to obtain those direct contacts. I tried this for several years and found the film industry even more flakey than the music business. Lots of promises but real few actual deliveries of them. The more irons in the fire, the better.



I've had some minor success. Am too tired right now to write about them.

hahahaha So true Phil! Promises can vanish into thin air when you are waving an agreement in front of their faces... DEFINITELY who you know is VERY important! It's something I hope to comfortably focus on when I'm older and not wanting to gig etc. Although I don't really know when/if that will really happen (not wanting to gig I mean!!!) :l
