Today I got a new toy repaired, which ceased to work after the internal battery gave up (a scandal for itself, that such a external reverb-unit connected to power still needs a battery).... ... A SONY V-77 Reverb....

I found a review by an American drinker....
Maibock poured a rich amber slighty orange colour with little head. The smell is quite sweet and mild.
The taste isn't bad. I would say the alcohol is well hidden. Taste is a little bit sour, but is pretty good. Again i like it quite a lot for a high alcohol beer.
Very difficult to detect anything hoppy, more of the malty sweetness that just fades out.
I could see drinking a lot of these only with the distinct goal of getting drunk fast. Its like sometimes when things aren't happening fast enough you add a couple of these to the mix in between your regular 5% beers to really get the party hopping.
..............so basically this is a season beer, only available in the month of May (Mai...... = Maibock).
It's from the far north of Germany (city of JEVER/Friesland-North Sea).
