Gosh, I miss that book. I often read books that I enjoy over and over. I loaned it to a friend (make that ex-) in India, and never saw it again. He conveniently lost it. Swine.

Drooly, nobody in the band saw my point about the chinese milkmen. Even though I told it in a most amusing fashion and gave you full credit. Infact here's one reaction and I quote: "As far as I know, nobody in the band is Chinese, and I myself don't have much experience with milkmen"... I mean they don't BELIEVE me! After deep reflection I came to the conclusion that it must be the indian accent and head nod that has everyone fooled.

Ah well.

exact same reaction as when I wanted to go with "The Wailing Hobos"... - most people just kinda sighed and looked at us with pity in their Eyes....lololol

Now? - They all LOVE it..!!!

Gonna read Jitterbug.

Ever read Richard Adams' "Watership Down"..? - a warm & fuzzy, lovely, bitter-sweet story about the social life of Rabbits - an excellent metaphor for Human society..

His "Shardik" is pretty interesting, too - very "stream of conciousness" stuff.. - but kinda scary..

its by Tom Robbins.

I'll see if I can find the rabbit book here. I liked all Orwells stuff too. For anyone liking animals, try stuff by Gerald Durrell. I read him when I was much younger and loved it.

And if we're talking funny, ever tried Tom Sharpe - Wilt?

Off to work now, gotta eat!
