I was Mark Knopflers guitar rodie for one evening when he did a local tv show (Tyne Tees Television, Newcastle upon tyne, UK) a few years ago, had help set his and Alan Clarks (Keyboard player) gear up for the show, tuning his guitar etc:eguitar .........



Anyway while the show was getting recorded I was invited to the "Green Room"......Ha ha.. ED-G gets offered free drink!!....anything you want type thing!!!.... Whoosh what a night, after the show we all went for an indian meal. I had the most fantastic night and really enjoyed myself I forgot to get the autograph and photo...:aw .......never mind so near but so far.:)



A friend of mine has all four Beatle autographs and other stuff from them (his sister was a fan club secretary....) Mmmm

quite seriously, Mark Knopler is my favorite guitarist!! Not so much because of his technical ability (which is nuffin ta Sneeze at...) but his style and taste. e.g. the solos in "Lady Writer.."



Glad to hear you're joining the competition - it's gonna be a hoot!!
