I did my first live show with this band on Saturday.. - we've been purely studio until recently. It was a total Gas!!!

I'm on the far right with the mic stuck in my eye...

I'm still sitting, there...(It was early in the evening....)

The audience was superb, chris.. - I had almost forgotten how good it feels to play live, to feel that exchange of energy with the people. We'll be gigging a lot more once we get our new keyboard player worked in.

A few friends shot some video with sound, which I haven't seen yet. When I get it, I'll try to post a little clip.

No groupies. It seems chicks don't like guys with mics in their eyes.....

I hope there's a good clip from your performance, I can't wait to see what you look like with a microphone in your eye hahahahahahaha :banana

kind thanks, Panick...

are you not gigging anymore? - been a long time?

I hear you about hauling the gear and funny hours.

Success would be making enough $$ to pay roadies!!!!!

But the pleasure of actually playing in front of a lot of people is sooo worth it..

Naw....Sticky Was the last band I toured with...

www.stickypistil.com

I sit in now and then with local Jazz and Blues acts....and I do poetry slams and open mics......and record.

I would do it again!....with the right band....and a good manager and a good agent and great venues and good money and ...HA HA!!...not likely..is it?

:)

so...I mess around in the studio after hours and give it away for free on the internet!!

Yes...we could do all of this live.

The drummer, Mike Caron played to the programed drum tracks fed to him through the drum moniter...most of those were generated By an MC505...and some from another roland ...Mark, the singer/shouter also handled all the samples with a ribbon sampler, an Mc303 and an MC505 and use a fireworks with several ppresets on the vocal mic.....I used a digitech 2112 and a lexicondelay/sampler to create harmonies and multiparts on the fly....

It was a tangled web of cords and Direct boxes..

:)

but it was pretty fun!!...we made a hell of a lot of rackett for four guys!!

wow - sounds like a hell of a set-up....

I'm impressed that you could do all that live with 4 guys....

Our set-up is much simpler, due to our stlye... - very rootsy and acoustic-driven.

BUT - our drummer recently switched to Roland V-Drums, and as he gets through the learning curve, he's adding some amazing stuff to the tunes...keyboard pads, strings, horns...

fun stuff..!!
