I do miss it sometimes though.. When it's done right you can sort of have your own little kingdom.. (Meaning self-suffiency..

Yes , the air does creat some nice moods, as doesthe skies, (The cloud patterns never cease to amaze me..) the nighttime is wonderful too, you can see every star in the sky and to see them falling is very common..

Yes..., there is something to be said about country living..

Every star in the sky? Mmm The last time I saw that was on a beach in Thailand. I love wide open spaces. Do you live in a city now? ! ?

I've raised chickens and grown a few vegetables in my time. Self-sufficiency used to be a dream of mine until I found out what hard work in involved!!!

What do you do these days to make a living?

And I drive a limo for a day job and buy and sell musical instuments from time to time.. I like both worlds really, the country can get old sometimes too.. We still have all our land so it's nice to be able to get away for a few days at a time every now and then..

I think it would be great to have enough land to provide all your necessities.. 40 acres, a cow or 2, chickens, a beef steer, a garden, orchard and if you're close enough to one of the lakes, plenty of large fish too.. (Not to mention wild game..)

When my grandmother bought the original farm we have about 70 years ago, all she ever bought was salt, flour and sugar.. Everything else came from the land..

Beats clipping coupons if you ask me.. (And standing in those grocerie lines..)

You drive a limo? In which city? where? Buy & sell musical instuments?? Like what kind of instruments?

Glad to hear you've still got the farm to retreat to. That is lovely. You got any pics of the farm?

Oh would you like a new underblurb?

I've taken many, I just don't have any with me to upload now..

This is my Dad when I would have been about 5. In the background you can see the barn and silos.

This is him when he was about 12 abd I think his horse in that picture was called Jake..

This is him also about age 12 with a couple of draft horses they had. (They used to work the entire farm with those horses, just like the Amish do today..)

I live about 1 mile north of Detroit, the auto capitol of America.. I've been making a little money on guitars and lately I've think I'm getting a pretty good handle on the used market.. Can't say for sure, but I do think it's possible to make a full-time living at it, many people do..

I don't care to much about underblurbs, you're welcome to change it if you want too

WOW! OLD B/W photos! COOL! Your Dad's good-looking! I've never been to Detroit. Wasn't that the setting for some of them old American comedy shows?!?

Good luck with the selling instruments! Guitars you say. Cool.

Have a fabulous weekend.

Hi Gregg!

Oh I'm a busy person. I guess when you are in such a tiny place such as Hong Kong which is dependant on International business, you end up travelling all over the place. I believe something like 95% of the population have passports in HK.

Taipei (capital of Taiwan), where I am is a big city. Some lovely tree-lined streets. I can't wait to see more. My eyes are OPEN :)

I just read an email from my band Thinking out loud and a member is complaining that we haven't got enough band practises this month!! hahahahahhahaa Of course having a pilot in the band as well doesn't help!!!
