Thanks Mike, I knew I could rely on you for some feedback.
about the drums, I've just listened to it myself a few times and I see what you are saying. This track utilises both my DM5 and 05R/W for drums and I perhaps should remove some of the snare hits from the overall piece. I know a few drummers where I work. I'll get them to have a listen and tell me what they think too.
I agree that it is an uplifting track and sometimes I wish that I'd do something a bit darker. Nearly all of my tracks are like this and I'm wondering if this is a good or bad thing. I think it may be bad because overall, my compositions lack depth. I'll work on it I think.
I was wondering what you thought of the lead bit at 2:07. Is the sound a bit harsh or is it passable? It's the same patch that produces the distorted organ sound.

I think uplifting and positive is the best way to find many listeners. Bad/Dark stuff has it's own audience... overall I think you should continue in the uplifting style as you do well with it without sounding 'synthetic', if you now what I mean
The heavy Lead Sound is absolutely cool.
If you redo the track, I would maybe mix it not so much in the foreground like you did... I had this *ouch, what happens now*-feeling when listening in the version available
A good idea would be bringing the volume a bit down, but positioning the lead sound on the right pan position (something like 15%) at the same time. This gives the rest of the background music some 'air' to breathe Check it out....

Thanks for dropping in AUTO!
The JP8000 is one hell of a lead synth but this time round I demoted it to one of the bass bits and one of the sequencer bits. It was my trusty Nova that produced that lead sound (a real nice bit of british kit).

Thanks Kim, thanks Steve. You've made my day
Kim, I've listened to a few of your mp3.com songs before so I'm listening to your 6870 Miles track called New World at your soundclick site. Great song and great vocals I think we'd all agree
Steve, I like your guitar playing and you don't sing too bad either. Got through three of yours before needing to start work.
