Hi guys

Not making too big a deal of this just yet, this is only a 1st mix but it's my first release for a while. Would just like a little feedback.

CHASING AFTER WIND

Slightly unusual song in that the lyrics were written 3000 years ago. Bit of a Latin groove. It's available at Ampcast

Your track's vibes remind me somehow for a specific tune by Grace Jones..... maybe it's the reverbed wood-stick sound....

Cool vocals and relaxed tropical athmosphere........

.....I only think the beat is a little too weak/unstable for the final mix..... just my own subjective impression.

The acoustic feel is great as the production!

I'm not too happy with the drum sound either. The song may well end up as a collaboration. That's why I've only released it as a 1st mix in the one place. Just gathering feedback at this stage. First offer is some flugelhorn and mellow keyboards .. sounds good to me

Ohh..... you SHOULD take this opportunity !!!!

A Flügelhorn can do miracles in combination with acoustic backing (guitars and percussion).

I'm sure this will be a good collaboration!

you're right about the computer drum track

first time I've been compared to Grace Jones by the way !!

BTW - also an official drum'n'bass remix on 'Darkness' in the pipeline too - from the DubDemon .. that sounds fun

so do you think I'm crazy writing in so many diverse genres or just widening my audience base? I think there are probably different answers to that question for on, or off-line promotions..
