Kurd rebels kill 5 Turk soldiers
Compare to similar scenarios in nearby countries and the denomination changes from 'rebel' through 'insurgent' to 'terrorist'.
Why don't CNN want to label the PKK as a terrorist organisation? Is it because the Kurds helped invading Iraq and is an ally by neccesity? PKK has killed an estimated amount of 30,000 people. Turkey, the EU and the US has classified PKK as a terrorist organisation. Why is then CNN calling them "rebels" in the header?

That's weird. Homeland Security considers it a terrorist group.

One of the things that our local media does that is awfully bizarre is call teenagers boys/girls when they're victims of crimes but teenagers get called man/woman when they're the perpetrators of a crime.
For instance:
A 17 year old boy was shot today . . .
The suspect of a local robbery is a 17 year old man . . .
and I've always find that terribly odd.
Of course our media has done stuff like this for a long time. If our government supports a government takeover then the soldiers are called 'liberators' or 'freedom-fighter's' or something like that, but if we don't support them, then they are 'insurgents', 'rebel's, 'terrorists'. It's terribly transparent to me, but for most people it's what they truly believe. Sad kinda.

In truth, NRK, people do that because it makes life EASIER for them when they know the good guys are wearing the white hats and the bad guys the black hats. They live in the bliss of a black and white world. I think we both know there is really no such thing...we live in a world full of color.

All I am asking is that CNN use the denomination for PKK already provided by larger entities.
'Rebel' is not neccessarily a negative label. It's far more close to "freedom-fighter" than it is to "terrorist".
We would witness a roar dismay, would a western newsoutlet call members of Al Qaeda something similar.

Why don't the media refer to the Amish as a cult? Everything else is a 'cult,' why do the Amish get to be labeled an 'Order'?
