Enjoy every minute, Chris!

Time goes by so quick that it hurts sometimes.

Do you remember my boy Antonin and girl Natalie from your visit?

See for yourself what happened in that short time..........

Wow, Drooly, Mike - you coming to HK?? welcome welcome! need a place to stay? I think I have room for a couple!

Bubbs is 14 months now, he's been walking for 2 months now, talks a fair bit, and he signs with us (we've taught him sign language), and he's full of mischief but totally adorable!

I need to get some pics up, but up to here with work, so later...

Cheers!

Sign language?

That is so cool.

May I ask why?

Is he learning any other verbal languages besides English?

What about your girls, Chris? Are you teaching them Cantonese/Chinese?

Both of my girls are now perfectly fluent in English and French, because we taught them both languages from birth. Children learn so fast. Especially communication skills. That's the time to teach them...

My older daughter now knows some Spanish and Italian.

But the best time to teach languages is when they're less than 10 years old. Their minds absorb (and retain) like thirsty sponges.

Enjoy the Motherhood adventure, my Friends.......

How about you, Mike?

Are you teaching Antonin and Natalie any other languages?

I think you know around 8.

And your English is excellent.

Hey. It's a Father's Duty to teach his Children.....

yep, i have two ladies coming in at different times during the week, couple of hours a day, one plays with bubbs only in cantonese, the other only in mandarin. And my helper speaks to baby in Tagalog (Filipino language).

I only have one language - English. I found it impossible to learn anything else because we only spoke english at home, and I'm determined that bubbs does not have that handicap.

The sign language is fun - babies use body language almost from birth - so its kind of a natural progression to teach him formal signs that we both understand. And he's always been very very communicative, so its all lots of fun for us. We started almost from the get go, but he only started signing back when he was 10 months - his first sign was - you probably guessed it - Milk!

So when are you and Mike coming to HK?

Cheers!

The sign language thing really fascinates me... - it's amazing that you're doing that.......

Is it a *real* sign language - recognizable by the deaf/mute?

Or is it a personal thing, between you and him?

Amazing.

Coming to HK...? - well.... - I threw the idea out on a lark.... - but it's not impossible. Would LOVE to visit the Orient.....

Maybe I'll wait till bubbs is old enough to have a beer with me. Teach him guitar too, so we can jam a bit...!!!!

hahaha...!

Cheers, kidda...!.........
