I'm going somewhere..............

But no idea where I'm going, or what I'll be doing !..........

The big 5 O is rapidly approaching, and as I said I didn't want a big bash or anything to my wife, she said ok, then book two days and a weekend off work.

Well, that time has arrived......... I have driven her nuts, 'cos being a woman, she really wants me to ask questions apparently everyone else knows where I'm going, except me. But I'm of the opinion that surprises are best when they're just that............. a surprise !

Today I have been told, my choice of clothes to wear may be a little limited................. I guess that means she's packed a suitcase ? Hmmmmmmmmm

She knows I hate bungee jumping......... so I doubt it's that !

I'm kinda hoping she's taking me too Amsterdam, we loved it there, and the place sure has a romantic feel too it.
But I'd better not get too excited !

I'd love to go too Krakov......... as I've always wanted to visit Auschwitz......... But I guess that wouldn't be too romantic.

I'm assuming she hasn't made plans for the kids to all come. One works for me.......... she hasn't booked time off work for him, and we're a man down due too the arrival of a baby. She'd have too contact customers.........

We've got good friends in Germany I'd love to visit again........ hmm........... maybe.

I'm getting excited now, especially as my wife keeps telling me I should be !

She gave me a fantastic 40th weekend, I'm guessing this one will be as good..........

We went to Amsterdam. There was an extra surprise !
My best mate and his wife were there too meet us. It was his 40th birthday surprise and my 50th birthday surprise !

Our ladies had carried this all out with millitary precision.........

Or maybe it was simply that my mate and I are a couple of complete dunderheads....... ?



This was an establishment we visited on several occasions....




We had a birthday meal (Indonesian) yum yum




No7 is the narrowest house in Amsterdam. It's the width of the door.




A nightime view, no not the redlight district, but very close.




Now this is amazing. A mobile bar !! You all have to peddle it round the streets..........




bbchris may find this familiar in a smaller kind of way to a restaurant from her part of the world




A great time was had by all !!!
