Dream, I think it's important to recognize that this personal 'agenda' is driven by deception and lies from others. I think there is a slant to this presentation, but it's not like the truth is coming from any official sources. The reality is that we supported Saddam Hussein, economically and militarily, even though we were aware he seized power through arbitrary executions. The truth is that we helped him achieve military strength even though we knew he was not a democratic, progressive voice in the Middle East, in fact we knew him to be dangerous and a potential threat to his neigbors. Until our own government comes clean with this stuff, expect slanted opinions which are merely a product of being pissed because no one is telling the 'truth'. I'd absolutely love for the government (especially those people directly involved in Saddam's rise to power) to tell the truth so we can see how it makes America look good.
