Never served in the military. Nam and the draft ended before I graduated high school. I tried to enlist after 9/11, but I'm too old. So I joined my Community Emergency Response Team.

I have a very nice first aid kit, and a great collection of flashlights and fire extinguishers! I also have a green vest and helmet!

i read in the paper they do have oil. lots right off the coast. put up a zillion off shore oil rigs like in the gulf of mexico. great thing is being under the ocean is if there is another coup/rebellion etc. the distance from shore acts as a buffer.
