The United States Government will spend more on the military in fiscal year 2003, than all the rest of the countries on Earth combined.

Current expenditures are 437 billion and our past obligations are 339 billion, this equals 776 billion. 46% of our Taxes go to the Military Industrial Complex www.warresisters.org/piechart.htm This figure doesn't even begin to account for all of the off-budget, black projects, homeland security nor the 40+ billion the United States Government will spend on intelligence in 2003.

The problem here, Chris, is I don't see any questions dealing with the current conflict with Iraq.



The guy who came up with this seems to be pretty much pulling facts outta his rear. He couldn't even cite one source! One example of how uninformed the guy is:

In the US these type of people are rightly and easily dismissed as crackpots whose motto could be best summed up as something like "I made my mind up, don't confuse me with facts!". They usually run around with a shopping list of causes & are sometimes known as "professional protestors". Good examples of what Lenin called an "useful idiot" - that is someone who lends support out of naivete and/or trendiness. Those who protect military installations, i.e. "human shields", are probably the prime, textbook examples of Lenin's "useful idot"!

Ron, I agree that unfortunately the guy has enough misinformation that he will be easily dismissed. The unfortunate part is that some of the information is correct and worthy of inspection but is lost in the nonsense.
