Or just give me some sentences I can use? I'm going to become a writer! hahahahahaha For a web site! And I've been asked to submit a bio written by someone else or myself in the third person..... I wont tell you which site yet - it's been going awhile and I'm really excited!!!! wheeeeeee!!!

well, I'll suggest some adjectives....

Dynamic and exciting...

Colourful....

Enthusiastic...

Intelligent...

(sometimes simply the adjectives can make or break a Bio...)

and some phrases....

An intriguing blend of levity and hidden Pathos...

Conveys an explosive energy from the stage...

Rumoured to have a weakness for tall dancing bananas....

(I Assume this is for a Music site..??)

Depends on who you're writing this for........

Most bios start with "Born on the 16th of blah blah" or "Formed mid '86, this band.........". It depends on whether you think they're looking for cliches or really original writing? Most are looking for standard stuff I think.

Anyway, then the usual bio continues with "blending rap, rock and yodelling, this fresh sounding duo have perfected the art of intelligent music for the masses" etc etc.

My advice? You're intelligent enough to wing it. It's easy

I'm not ignoring you.....

I just cant help noticing that the bio I wrote for myself was pretty bad and did nothing for me.....so there's a strong possibility I suck this....

BUT....

here's what I think from reading gobs of press packs and Bios.

Short!!....short Bio......make it short!!!!

Do mention..in this order

Where you were born,

Education,

Previous Band names,

In passing mention your love of travel, drop some favorite destinations....dont dwell on it too much.

Mention two or three bands you like and have influenced you

, Make them show a wide range of taste....

then in like 50 words describe your musical style...Steal droolys adjectives!!....but tone it down a bit!!!

Sum Up with somthing that shows a bit of buisness savy,

Good to leave people thinking you know what is up!

then

A photo of you IN BLACK AND WHITE AGAINST A RELATIVELY PLAIN BACKGROUND!!!! Direct eye contact with the camera

Your smile is lovely and disarming!!!....

but dont use it in a Bio Photo...

smile with your eyes, not your teeth.

How serious is this bio? I mean, is it a blurb or a real "bio"?

How about "Chris has a string of achievements as long as your arm...(or the great wall of China)" and then go on to list em - all the ones you consider important enough to tell people about!

I just got back from Macau. Spent one night in the Westin Resort, it was a hoot. Gosh, I could live like that hahahahahahahaha (I wish!)
