Hi everyone!

My first race this year will take place tomorrow morning at 9am. The Nike 10K challenge. I want to improve on my best time of 1hr 12mins. I've been preparing for a few months. I'm not feeling my best today though. Got a mild cold. Taken lots of vitamins and I'm now sitting in front of my brother's computer. Crashing at his place tonight. (He lives so much closer to the race!!!) hahahahahahaha :banana

Wow! Way to go! It takes some strength of will to do a marathon, and in this weather too!

All the best, I hope your strength keeps up and you beat your record. Is this a sponsored race?

As for me, I'll stay happy with my cross trainer and weights! LOL :)

xx

Whoa! I'm only running 10K - that's 6.2 miles! I think marathon runners are INSANE!!! :auto :boink

Thanks for the good wishes. I'll either do it in the same time or improve on it. It's kind of fun. (I have strange hobbies) It's great for keeping my legs & butt in shape!!!!!!! hahahahahaahahahaha

I love pushing weights too. I am looking forward to going back to the gym this week. My goal of getting Madonna's arms is still there :banana

Hi BB Chris

Marathonrunners are not insane ( I will run my first marathon in april 2003 in Hamburg ), I am sure, if you can run 10 K - you can run marathon!

When I was in university, I jogged for a solid hour each morning. Averaged just under 9 miles.

Congratulations Chris

Yes Chris I had a few 5K,10K and 20 K runnings, I have written storys about the races ( there are in my homepage, but in german )

I've noticed, that every race is different, sometimes you think you're running 20 K, but you're running 10 K...

It's a thing of your will, you can run marathon, if you can run 10 K

ED, have you heard Mark Knopfler's "Sailing to Philadelphia"?

Superb tune... - the lyric starts...

I am Jeremiah Dixon,

I am a Geordie Boy.

A glass of wine with you, Sir,

And the ladies I'll enjoy.

I'm curious... - just what does "Geordie" mean..¿¿???

(I'm in Canada - don't know about these things....)
