Strange no one would find the fact that Pete Townsend is lifting the boats of all indies with his contribution at IAC worthy of comment, but not suprising. Good work Scott.., give Pete my regards..

Oh yes, tell "Pete" I was driven off IAC -as a paying member- by unneccessary flame wars until I had no nerves anymore.

So neither my band nor I do have a presence on IAC anymore.

What should I comment? That IAC is great for Indies?

For some - yes, for others - not.

Isn't Pete Townsend the famous old dude who got away with having kiddie porn on his computer?? Something about he was 'researching' it online? If I'm confused sorry....

Congratulations to IAC for Pete Townsend's acceptance speech!

I've been very nicely invited by Scott to join IAC, have just been too busy in the real world playing gigs and organising live music shows.... I'm sure IAC is very nice.

Well I have no presense on IAC by choice, the politicking that goes on at these places are just beyond belief but I sure don't wish them to fail. I don't know what they threw you off for but I've yet to see anyplace that was really good for anyone but the people who run them. Think back several years when places like mp3.com was overflowing with talent. Instead of promoting that the powers that were did nothing but encourage and contribute to complete chaos that in due time ruined any good that could have come out of it.

Unfortunately this is a business and the people making money now aren't overly concerned about any indies but they will take your money. Seems the only efforts I've ever seen on behalf of indies had nothing to do with music but money only, so thery're two peas in the same pod if you ask me.

Now is IAC different??? I hope so but I doubt it. Seeing some of the new places that have reopened seem too just want clicks again..., and nothing more. If you were thrown off because of some personal grudge than that doesn't encurage me at all..

How long do you think this post will last btw?
