I had a buyer in Berlin buy my 1974 Les Paul basket case. He hasn't contacted me or returned any of my emails since the auction closed Sunday, so I was going to go ahead and quote him shipping and a final price to get that out of the way.

My question is, the least DHL will ship it for is around $450.00. Is there a better cheaper way to ship over to Germany or is DHL the standard? Any help will be appreciated.

If he doesn't pay or contact me I will have to offer it to the next highest bidder.

Well..... DHL is the way to go... but 450 bucks sounds extremely expensive.

I mean, did you ask for overnight shipping?

I think if you do it the slower way (i.e. delivery within a week) it should be less expensive.

For now I don't have honestly better ideas.
