Oh well, I feel every bone today! LOL

We, MBAF feat. Kate Cassidy, had a nice gig with lots of fun yesterday on the "Zeilfest" open-air here in Frankfurt/Germany. Some people really liked us (some not HAHAHAHA) and we got new gig offers. We were playing on a small stage in the center of the city on a very hot summer day with the sun shining directly on stage. I think I lost 10 kilograms from sweating or something like that! LOL

Like I posted two days ago we were required to entertain the people for 3 long hours and had therefore to do some jams.

So here's one jam theme we did, which some of you may already know, that you have an impression of how we worked our a$$es off LOL

Unfortunately we had no own recording equipment as usual, so we were quite happy to have at least two on-stage microphones and a stereo-DAT. It's a rather wild quality and what you hear is the direct stage sound, probably not good enough for any MP3-site. The balance and everything is out of order and chaotic, however you get the impression and we were happy to jam a bit to 'stretch' the non-sufficient program for 3 hours LOL

Maybe I can post some pics in the next days (a friend did some and I don't know if there are any useful ones) to share with you.

***Errrrrr.... I just did a quick video encoding of the

"Midnight Ships"-JAM.***

recommended)

I'm sorry that I have screwed the end, there are some snippets which do not belong there but I have no time to correct this now :) ) We look like announcing the next public bus anyway! HAHAHAHA :) )))

:D lolson :) )

That is NO death metal! LOL

So thanks a lot for checking :) )

Well, we had fun and the jams like the one above

were a nice contrast to our practiced pieces and

foremost jams are always a surprise because you

never know how they turn out to be :) ))

While I understand your desire for a video HAHA I have to say

that we don't travel with a documentation company! LOL

BUT.... there was somebody filming and I have the address

as well as there was a friend who took some pictures like I said. In any case i will need two or three days before I

have the chance to see anything myself. If there is something

worth to show I will of course proudly post it and spam the board LOL ;)

BTW... this was the first time I played on a stage in summer

starting at 4p.m. when the sun is still high and it was the first

time I experienced how guitars react to direct and intense sunlight (it was over 30 degrees yesterday and humid).

Both guitars I was using were detuned so badly from the sun...

....oh my... gruesome... in the middle of 3 tracks I had to stop

my normal playing and perform a proper re-tuning. I never had

it so badly and my bandmates were biting their nails because

they don't know that from me. usually I tune my guitars before

a gig or a set and that's it. A little re-tuning of the E-string or G-string in between.... ok... but that the whole guitar/s really

go way out of tune... oh my, oh my :) )))))

So better have a guitar roadie or a permanent guitar tuner

in your stage setup when you play open-air directly in the sunlight!

Adrian Belew and Ian Anderson meet Larry Carlton on a hot summer day after beers? :bcool

HAHA Sintz, nice description! :) :wgrin :bday

Thanks for listening!

I have to excuse for the harsh recording quality, but well...

...now you know how it sounded through the monitors incl. backline :)

We also played a slower jam where I had my problems

with the tuning in the beginning, however Kate did

her best to distract the people from my mishap! :) ))))

Plus you can hear my lazy German announcements! HAHA

Well your 'not good' recording sounds way better than what we captured on an MD recorder for our gig on Thursday!! I think you guys are boasting!!!

King of My Castle sounds good!

Midnight Ships - Something about Kate Cassidy and that you hope your another song? Couldn't catch all the GErman - muffled words.

Awesome to record the gig!! Thanks for posting!! :banana

Paul :) ) Tsk.... you and your anti-delay mania! :D :D :D

I think there's not much echo on this recording though! LOL

In other words, I hope you are not too disappointed :) )

Chriiiiis!

Thanks for taking the time to listen to BOTH jam-recordings :) )))

Hey, we are not boasting :) This recording quality is not our

usual delivery but for a two mic recording on stage it is

not that bad :) ) I will see if I find something useable on the

video tape to post :) )))

One important thing Chris: I just received two viruses sent from your

toshazza-promo account (Thinking Out Loud).

The virus which was sent to me using your address was

W32.Beagle.AG@mm

with malicious code in the attachment called

"Music_MP3.com"

Please scan your PC for this virus if you have the right software on a bootable CD to avoid that all your contacts in your address book get this nasty thing.

Find more removal instructions here:

Sounds good to me, Mike... the excellent musicianship makes up for a lot....!!!

Even a "jam" can be VERY entertaining, when all the musicians are on the same wave-length.

I admire your courage in agreeing to fill such a big time slot on so little advance notice..

Honestly, I don't find the recording, or even the mix, so bad. Especially considering it's live to stereo DAT.

My festival gig went really well. I don't have any audio, but should have some pictures in a few days..
