You know, where you can give it new sounds & @#%$? Mine has MIDI connections & I used Cakewalk, a long time ago, but it only changed the sounds in a midi file.

I want to change the sounds where I can play it live.

Is this possible?

What you need is a midi sound module.

Either that, or a software synth and pack your PC on your gigs.

I don't do any gigs, I just wanted to plug into my PC and have some new sounds come out of it, like Cakewalk did with my midi files. I could change the instrument sounds, but only on a pre-recorded midi. I want to be able to do it live, for recording into a CD recorder.

In that case, either a SW synth on your PC or a HW sound module will do what you want.
