tonight in Newcastle Upon Tyne, most bars are putting money tins on the bar for people to donate.... a great idea as there will be 1000's out in the city tonight.....

Bar owners, bar hoppers, people who know bar owners... - take heed......

If all the party-people in the World tonight will have one less drink, and donate the money...we could do Wonders to help these people...

People are donating like mad here. The bars have collection boxes and have given up profits to go towards the relief.

I also read about big corporations in USA, donating not only money but medical supplies, anti-biotics etc. This world can really pull together to help. It's inspiring.

I think the people out in town on new years eve raised £3000..... its about the same as an average bar takes in one night.....

I was in our local supermarket (ASDA (owned by Wal-Mart)) and they had buckets at the end of each counter, there are 30 counters and do about 1 cusomer every 90 secs .... so they should raise lots too!!
