This is probably what snuffed it out

Olympus Mons

Olympus Mons is a mountain of mystery. Taller than three Mount Everests and about as wide as the entire Hawaiian Island chain, this giant volcano is nearly as flat as a pancake. That is, its flanks typically only slope 2° to 5°.

The link says 26 miles tall, I heard a radio program stating it's 35 miles highand there's supposed to be a canyon that also dwarfs our Grand Canyone here in size and lenght the Olympus Mons is a part of..

What I wonder is.., how large was it the last time it erupted. When Thera blew 11,800 years ago, the eruption is estimated to have been 40 times greater than Mount St. Helen about 20 years back here in the States. It's also believed that Thera put so much ash in the air that the sun couldn't shine through for several years causing many plant & animal life to become extinct. (Pigmy elephants & Antelope described by Plato for example..)

The point is.., assume that Olympus Mons was 5 miles in height on it's last eruption and the reached it current height after the eruption finnally stopped. It's just speculation of course, but such a blast just could I suppose end all life on a living planet. Something big happened there, that's for sure.

Yeah, the universe is amazing allright... Think about it.., our earth is just one of pehaps several hundred thousand other planets that could support life like ourselves..

Something's out there allright..

And we might NOT like what we find also Chris..., but I'm fairly certain there's human life like our own in many different places.., who really knows though.

Geez, we're so far away now.., Mars alone is a few centuries from being made habital if that's even possible, The Europa is next, and there may even be another moon or two of Jupitor we'll all be hanging out at some century..

If we could just secure things here on earth first though and could focus the correct resources on moving forward to other worlds.. I guess there's no quick way though.

Probably natural causes created these structures on Mars, I sure would like to have a closer look though..

You can tell us what you find

Marta: "That was not his knee"

KirK: "Something you want to tell me?

Marta: "Not all races keep their genitals in the same place..."
