Shaky I only ever notice them when someone posts "Vote for me in this round" and when I see their email in my mailbox - then again I vote for the better song and never read the emails. I remember a while back Mike Burn won some competition but apart from another URL for him to add to his site, I don't believe they really 'make=a=star" :popcorn

Not sure what the site is for. .. Good question Shaky!!

Supposedly you send them 35 bucks and they have "industry professionals" review your song. If your song gets high enough marks in the review, it goes to a "Sweet 16" round, where listeners then vote on your song against 16 others. That was something Mike Burn won.

I wonder if it ever did anything for him? Mike? Care to chime in?

Indeed I won the contest there somewhen

I can't say anything bad about makeastar.com.

The reviews I got were very detailed and from people

who know about music.

As a matter of fact they mailed me several times because

of a compilation CD where all contest winner's songs are

included. I screwed always the dates to send back my

confirmation... so it was not their fault that I was not included.

I think Chris charges her assistants around $200 US per day...

And THEY pay HER expenses...............
