Rock/Metal/Funk Instrumental Guitarist SEISMIC ANAMOLY signs with STATUE RECORDS.
SEISMIC ANAMOLY has signed a worldwide licensing, manufacturing, retail distribution and commercial radio promo contract with Los Angeles/Hollywood based Statue Records, the largest Indie label on the West Coast. Statue Records will be releasing Seismo's CD "Snake Eyes" on the STATUE label and providing retail store placement, commercial radio promotion and digital media downloads of his songs from their website. The driving force behind the SEISMIC ANAMOLY project, guitarist/bassist Michael S., had this to say about the new association: "I am elated to be a part of the Statue Records family; take a look at their sales/promotion history and you will understand why. This arrangement with Statue will allow their retailing and distribution experts to bring my music into a new arena of availability and visibility and make my stuff directly available to those fans who buy music exclusively through retail outlets. In addition, getting a go at commercial radio airplay REALLY excites me!! I feel I have done relatively well on both college and internet radio stations, but commercial radio play for Seismic Anamoly has been virtually non-existent; this agreement will change all that. Statue's superior system of promotion through phone calls, advertising, retail marketing, and radio station airplay is just what the doctor ordered in my situation right now. I really look forward to this partnership and feel confident that it will be tremendously successful."
Check out Statue's website for dates of online as well as retail availability.

Hey!!
that's a pretty cool..
Non exclusive is good, our experience was if you wanted radio play, even collage radio or Public Radio you had to have promotion comming from more than one direction,,
I get the feeling that once a program director has heard about you or been presented with your stuff from 2 or 3 sources they start to actually act on it..
we had an inexpensive agent and a couple of friends and ourselves all promoting the band like we were outside entities..
and we would always try to get a public radio or collage radio interview in any town we played in, which means getting there the day before and calling ahead and getting program directrors names and giving away T shirts and press packs a stuff...
It worked!..sort of,
it worked as well as it could have for a totally independent band without having real Management and Agency..
the best was once we were driving into Denver on our way to a gig in Boulder and we heard our tune on a Howard Stern Station!
it made me feel happy, and kind of soiled all at the same time!
HA HA!!
anyway..
best of luck!

I dig the concept. Personally I'd like to see the yellow of the eyes reflected somewhere. Maybe in the highlights of the lettering.
Either way, the snake it self is badass.
