Bhutan issued a stamp in 1973 that looked like a record and actually would play the Bhutanese national anthem if placed on a record player.

SO who's got this stamp then??? And what a fabulous idea!! hahahahahhaa :banana

Thanx for the cool info, Chris....I collected stamps until I went to College for about 10 years and I never saw this one!! I DO have the Tonga Banana, however....but it don't dance!!

I've collected, bought - but mostly sold - stamps, coins. etc. quite a bit in the past, Chris. My main interest was in ancient Roman Imperial coinage, though.

At any rate, this one is a fun collectible, I think it would fetch approx $200 at auction. Don't have it myself though, sigh....

LOL, I must fess up that I sometimes enjoy polka music! (true)Hated it when I was a kid, it was the music my dad especially liked. As the years go by, I'm turning into my ol' man I guess, hahaha!

Collecting stamps is fun, but if you get into it hardcore, it involves a lot of squinting and going through reference books like "Scott's", the standard ref for stamp collecters. I still have probably a thousand stamps, mostly US, but haven't looked at them for probably a year or two. The CSA stamps I mentioned to Seismo are from the American Civil War (1860s), CSA means the "Confederate States Of America (the southern states that seperated over the slavery issue), their President was Jefferson Davis, who's image is on the stamps.
