Well, maybe a Canadian does record it with a VCR and is doing a web-conversion

I'll try to record it. I'll bypass the vcr, though - I think I can record straight from the a/v outs on my TV to my pc.

Then I'll convert to .wma format....

No guarantees, though - I'm no expert with the tech stuff...

Tell you what... - if I get it, I'll send you the whole uncompressed file "as is", (I can put it at Rifftrader - you can snag it from there...) - then you can edit or convert or polish it as you think best....

Maybe you can simply send the tape (VHS, Mini DV)...

...and while you're good at technical stuff... in PAL recorded?LOL

But NTSC is also manageable... only with higher hurdles here on my side of the ocean

You know, just to be on the safe side, I'll record to the vcr at the same time, in case I have trouble with the digital stuff.

Then (worst case scenario) - I can Fedex you the video cassette. I really don't know if it's PAL or NTSC.... - I think it's NTSC (Never The Same Colour...).......

ok - I did a quick test - it seems to work ok direct from my TV to the pc.

I encoded as a .wmv file, so it's not too big.

This is just a 17 second test clip - about 500 kb, with audio...

Does this format work for you?

But we don't need that - I have it figured out digitally....

2 minutes = 12 MB....
