....the Canary Islands are probably one of the last places on earth, where you are knocked out from nature just by setting a foot on one of the islands. I think it's something completely different than the Bahamas for example, which become rather boring after 3 days.

BTW...... there's no natural sand beach on Tenerife and if, the sand is black (volcanic sand).

("Teide", Europe's highest mountain and volcano, 3,718 meters)

...and there are endemic plants of a size, you won't see anywhere else on earth, like the dragon tree.

I was thinking about going near the end of the month, but if you'll be in La Palma on the 13th, I can probably swing that. It would be great to see you there......

BTW - One of the reasons I'm considering the Canaries is because I remember how highly you spoke of them....

I think I can be in the Canaries by the 9th of January....which is good, - because Mike will be there then...- I'm working with my Travel Agent now for Hotels, Car Rental, etc...

And it looks like I can get to Hamburg, Germany, to see our Friend Kristina by the 16th or so......
