and yes, yes and yes. You know that Santa Claus is Coca-Cola brand? I mean really ....invented and...of course copied from St.Niklas (Dec.6th) and so on...

Santa Claus, St.Niklas for sure was known before Coca-Cola started to use him for advertising in 1931. But...

Since my 6-year-old believes Santa's bringing him some goodies on Christmas Eve, it makes him an anti-Christ and a Coca-Cola addict..... :bonk

Not hardly, IMHO. If any kid suffers this sad predicament, it's completely his parent's fault. It ALL begins at home.

I do agree that Christmas is WAAAAAAYY to commercial for sure; that's why his little butt and mine are in St.Paul's Episcopal at 11pm every Christmas Eve....so he sees what the true reason for the season is. :yo

Look, there´s a second reason why I posted the pic and this one shouldn´t bother you too much Seismic. Here in Austria and I think in Germany and other countries too we "believe" that on Dec. 24 the Christ Child (Christkind) is coming and brings presents for the children. You can imagine it like a little angel.

Now since some years Santa Claus come over here from the US and posts his picture on every ad, has his statue in every shopping centre and so on. I think he is easier to promote or so?!

We celebrate Sankt Nikolaus on Dec. 6, the twin brother of Santa one could say. He brings little presents for the children, nuts, oranges, chocolade,...

So children often think that "Nikolaus" is still here, others who were watching more US movies know the guy and...more and more the Christ Child loses ground.
