Oh GOOD PANick! I feel I must apologize for my delayed prize giving for you - I have all the equipment (the mirror, the lipstick etc.) just not had the time to match it with the right bra....
You'll be hearing from me soon! ANd wow!!!!!!!!!!!! YMD has been on a radio station!?!?!? WOW!! COOL!!!!!!! Thanks for letting me know Scott! How does one get to listen to that station? DId YOU have anything to do with the song being played?!?!?
Hey! Speaking of "Cantonese Bop" - its one of the songs that Chris B & Friends are doing this weekend!! I want to include it in TOL's set list for future too! Now all I need to work out is the Chinese scale you use on one of those guitar leads.....
the station is .....ok....a little adult contemporary for my tastes, but there is some great late night programming,,
and..it's a solar powered radio station!!
they have huge solar panels up on the Jicarita volcano..
AND>>
those scales are just pentatonics...
play only E,G,A,B,D,
get it?
just five notes from e to e..
thus PENTA=tonic
if you play the high e string and the high b on the same fret..
just bar those two
and go up and down the neck youll get that neat harmony..and no matter what you p[lay on the e string youll get the corresponding harmonic note on the b string..

Thanks for all that advice Scott! I will give it a try - TOL are going to start doing the song - Egg (our bass player) loves your bass riff!! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
So you're up early? Are you East coast or west coast? I haven't figured out the timing yet....

wow, PANick...
Very cool (and simple - I like simple) trick for harmonizing the E pentatonic scale...... for the life of me, I had never thought of that - I LOVE it....!!!!
I just spent a few minutes messing around with it, and it sounds sooOOOOOOooo Oriental......
