BUD!! You are obviously a Sonic Youth fan - hahahaha Kim - the other singing Sister of Sharon was the die-hard Sonic Youth fan, I'd never actually heard any of their stuff till I saw them live... So they were definitely one of our influences... :kizz

i'm wondering if sisters of sharon are fans of sonic youth? i was listening to you all yesterday and thought how much you reminded me of sonic youth. so i went home and listened to all my sonic youth stuff and now i definitely think they influenced your sound.

haha cool. they are quite exciting to see live! i saw them open for neil young once and they totally blew me away with their energy and "i don't give a damn if you want to hear this or not- we're going to play it and you're going to like it" attitude. i've been hooked on them ever since too. i remember watching them totally spellbound. the last song, thurston propped his guitar against the amp so it was horribly feeding back, then they all walked offstage and it was over. then out of the blue he ran back and kicked the guitar across the stage. haha i was hooked forever after that.

Wow! Sounds like you are indeed a big fan of them now!! hahahaha I can take them or leave them. I saw them on the same bill as Foo Fighters and Beastie Boys! I'm a huge fan of these 2 bands so it was a heavenly night..... :banana
