new song, i want your opinion please

this is a bilateral collaboration with Daniel Tejerina

) i'm really happy to work with this guy

) really kind person and really enjoyable bilateral collaboration, this is for the short movie as i advanced and i asked for permission to upload a sample in 128 to gather some feedback

) we're all dying to share and get opinions about it

. I think Daniel and I have set to make a few collaboratons together as we have enjoy the interaction, i worked with total freedom and we built this small song. I wrote the lyrics based on the script

and due to my mellow trend, hahah it fitted, i mean, the story is really sad, it's about someone in heaven, a place where noone dreams anymore, and he still remember a dream she had of the one he loved, and have to make the decision of leaving the heaven to be back within the dream

this is a very very pretty tune, and I love the harmonies - always loved harmonies.

Very short though...

I felt that the harmonies could do with better mixing, cause I could pick out one over the other, at one point the higher and another the lower, not sure which one is the melody - maybe this is deliberate?

But as always, beautiful beautiful melodic vocals.

it's short, well it's the time we had

) on the credits as it's for a short movie

we had a minute or so XD. none of the harmonies is lead and one have delays once longer than others, though we considered later if we did right doing so, we changed the way of the harmony and he picked the first try lol, what is curious is that we made some tries, and finally ended up with the first one XD so it's almost improvised, anyway daniel told me he's having problems mixing the vocals because he's not used to do so, this is the first time he makes a song with a vocalist.

i will gift him some vocals for his dvd intro and he will help me to add some choirs in an upcoming song of mine called the ancient lament

), but I have to finish to make the midi so it's easier for him

) to work with

. I think this guy is very good in soundtrack like music, dunno, i mean, whether the result was good or not, I admit i've become sort of fan of daniel.

Again I hear improvements in the quality of the vocal recording.

Really good and the 2-voice passages are better worked out than usual (words start and end at the same time).

The little track, it IS short

, would be a perfect film music, the way it is right now. I would have nothing against a complete repetition to extend the song length

They keyboards are fine as are te percussion sonuds

Very attractive sonic soundscape.

but now the director wants us to make tandem in a couple of parts

i'm now little bit busy building the midi of the ancient lament a song of mine for my comic

) and daniel will take the midi and will make it sound with choirs and such, and thus i'm really happy
