What would the band need to do to achieve stardoom there?

I would appreciate a serious answer with details.

I believe that it could be achieved with a whole lot less investment.

I think that Thinking Out Lous are definitely a good LIVE act...

....the more live shows...the more exposure.

ok - let's face the facts here.

Chris is obviously the main pull for TOL.

Sure - the music is ok - but the main reason TOL is hot ?

It's because Chris is hot.

Plain and simple.

Which brings us back to the Britney thing....

I think it's totally ok to promote image while promoting Art......

Hell - if I was better looking, (and taller...) - I would flaunt it like crazy.......

So....

Power to the Girls that Flaunt what they got....

And you claim to have an IQ of 140?

If Chris wanted to be stripper maybe that would appropriate if she flaunts what she has. If she wants to have people appreciate her singing and songs, her looks aren't going to make people appreciate her musical talents. Flaunting sexuality may draw attention but it doesn't garner much respect

Maybe TOL needs stronger songs, perhaps a hit song? It appears to me that Chris has the contacts in Hong Kong that she needs to propell her band forward. I could be wrong. Maybe someone can tell me about that.

Seems that Chris is on extended work vacation. I say that because her business seems to also be vacation oriented

Phil, I'm wondering why you started this thread? You want to invest in TOL?

I agree that flaunting TOO MUCH sexuality is self-defeating sort of - hahaha - I know people are usually shocked that I can actually sing -

I personally think that we have enough bands in the world where the singer sings and that's it. Might as well buy the CD, (if they have one!) Some singers have brilliant voices but zero personality on stage.

I enjoy entertaining the audience so in one sense I do flaunt. I've been told too much sometimes!! I will self-censor myself depending on venue/event/audience. As long as we have the reputation and the 'chance' of 'too-much flaunting' it will attract new listeners to the gig. Just one dimension to the marketing.

Charisma, and dynamic stage act is not the same as flaunting one's seuxuality. Perhaps when you learn the diference your band will move forward.

Seems to me that Hong Kong shouldn't be that difficult to gain a foothold in. You may explain that if I am incorrect.

This discussion is about what? Clue: Not exactly about TOL.

When you wanna get real then I wish to discuss the details.

Actually - this is becoming interesting....

The dichotomy between visual and aural entertainment.....

Before the advent of MTV, it was mainly aural.

Lately, it has become too focused on the visual, losing track of the aural......

I think the World yearns for an honest blend of the two....

So you can't disdain either........

Yes, she can be sexy. I would like to see her with her band. It still gets to would anyone buy their CD given thousands of other choices. I would like to stay with the initial topic. What was that? :warrior

She can also sing, - she can also write.

She also has a heart of gold...... - with her priorities straight.
