Northumbria University, 2002, gig organized by the (then embryonic) Questionnaires with the Little Mo Blues Band to raise money to renovate a delapidated school in Tanzania.
Attendance: 232
Money raised: £1,116
That's just one of many I've been involved with since 1984, when proceeds of over £70,000 raised by a gig at The Albert Hall in London and sales of the 'Heroes' album were donated to the families of striking miners whose whole industry was being closed down by the odious Thatcher government, a process overseen by the even more odious imported American 'businessman' Ian Macgregor.
