Looks tres cool - and it's just a little file/prog, too. Freeware - good deal that. Nifty.

Chris - I just tested it now to capture a few minutes of a streaming film A 1950s sci-fi movie. Worked pretty well!
I would guess you could use to grab streaming Windows audio if the audio is streamed in the .asx or .asf format. But my thinking is that this is more geared toward video stream capture (with the audio). The ARWizard is only for grabbing real-time (streaming, PC, CD, blah, blah) audio and preserving it in a good quality format (wav or mp3), as you know. This prog saves what it records as a Windows .ASF file.
So, yeah, the concept is the same - grabbing a live stream and saving it. But the formats involved are geared to diff needs.
If you run across a streaming video that you wanna have a copy of, this program would be brill. The stream does have to be in a Windows format (again, like asx or asf - not Real or Quicktime), so it's limited that way - but for freeware, it's a fine deal!
When I started the prog in it's "browse" setting, it detected when the video began streaming at the embedded player at the above page. Then it automatically began recording the video/audio - that was cool. It displays a running total of the file size it records and of the speed of the stream, Apparently you can also just paste in an asx, asf video's url location and it will record it that way too. Nice.
