"Music:
A perfect piece for the numerous reality action extreme shock sports shows currently in the marketplace. Skiing/snowboarding, MX biking, Motorcycle on and off road, Surfing, to vollyball and other beach sports. Great work.
Lyrics:
This is an instrumental.
Arrangement & Production:
All guitar work is well done. The tones and sound choices stand their ground firmly. As a sparse track though, you could stand to elaborate a bit more with some ear candy - maybe string's (cello)etc. to bring more dynamic change to the sections. The main issue is the lack of a dynamic drum track. Adding real drums will change the entire sonic soundscape.
Lead Vocal:
This is an instrumental.
Musicianship:
Great playing, however, there is more to musicianship than just playing instruments. Most elements in a recording situation are up to a producer to perfect, yet as the producer, writer, artist etc., it is up to you to wear all of those hats. Call upon those whom you know and trust can fill the necessary voids.
Originality:
Nothing in particular grabs the ear as highly creative or groundbreaking, but for what it is, and the purpose you intend this track to serve, it is sufficient. Try incorporating bizarre loops and use trippy effects on thing's you wouldn't normally use them on to create your own thing.
Marketability:
Again, shop all of the tv, film, and publishing houses with a catalog of your work. Just remember, they'll want to hear everything you've done, and or are working on now. Be sure you have enough material to satisfy their insatiable need for something new at all times before you submit anything.
General Comments:
You've got a number of thing's in place to proceed with your pursuit of a licensing deal within the entertainment industry. Just put all of your business ducks in a row next to your catalog before you get in bed with industry types. Ducks usually scare people out of bed if they're up to no good.
This song has qualified to enter the contest. Meanwhile, your song is being featured in our A&R Sneak Peek, a program that allows music industry professionals from around the globe to have an exclusive look at hot new artists. In addition, once in the contest your song will be automatically added to the song catalogue of www.FirstBuzz.com."
They've gone to a new format where 16 songs begin and run for 4 weeks until there is one eventual winner, so it doesn't begin again weekly like it used to...it starts anew every 4 weeks now...which I kinda like...makes it more credible to me and adds more drama to the contest...
We'll be in the loop beginning July 22nd if all goes as planned...so ya'll get registered and when the time comes vote for Seismo and tha Burner!!
