I did quick and dirty recordings of 3 new songs for the band, now I shall wait to see what arrangements we can do as a whole.

Hopefully, once the full arrangement and production comes in and I can power the voice without concentrating on the guitar, it will be more than nice! Might have some lower harmonies in the ooooo bits too. might also have some indian percussion and plaintive guitar. Dont know, lets see what the others think. Are the lyrics too in your face?

Yeah, I noticed your comments on everyone's vibrato. When I sing and record proper I try to cut it out, or have optimal usage. It can get too overbearing otherwise.

I really liked Dream, touches a chord.

Personally, I wouldn't pull back on the vibrato - to me, it was just about right....

Since you asked my opinion about the lyrics.... I like them, and respect the message, EXCEPT: - I find the term "the depths of your soul" a bit cliche, perhaps a little melodramatic. Maybe that's just my perspective, though..

You're right, it is cliched. I've been thinking about what I can change it to for a fair bit today. And change it I will.

BTW, the new name of the band is

Hei Sha (rhymes with Asia)

it means DARK SAND in Mandarin.

Not many people can see past bare bones in a song.
