how listening to someone's music for the first time, can have such a huge influence on how you view them as a person.

It's happened to me a few times lately, where I would get a certain opinion of someone from what they say on bbs. Then, after listening to their music, I would have a completely different feel towards them.

I guess that's one of the cool things about it.. - you can say a lot with music that couldn't be expressed with words alone...

ok - that's my deeply profound and perceptive thought for the day...

I'll stop now.

Mike, the only other stuff of yours I've heard was a remix that you're doing at Tonos - didn't care for the actual song, but really liked the production..

I just listened to "In this Life" from your mp3.com site.

Now that's more my cup of tea. Melodic and fun. Some nice vocal harmonies. And I'm a sucker for acoustic guitar.

Do you have any tracks in that style with live drums?

I know what a hassle and expense it is recording and mixing live drums, which is why our band recently got a set of Roland V-Drums. They sound fantastic, and we'll be trying them on a live gig in October... (a Hallowe'en gig - which should be a hoot!)

Don't wanna get into that...

But it's a general thing - try it... - the next time you develop a strong opinion of someone from reading what they post, - if you haven't heard their music yet, go take an unbiased listen.

It can be really surprising. And fun.

Chris, I'm not with javamusic... - when I have a little more time, I'll do the sign-up thingy and give a listen..

Mike - the live drums were refreshing.. - long intro, but I realize it was a jam.

I LOVE that live-to-tape stuff - the emotion comes through so well, as opposed to overdubbing...

nice....

danke..

Chris? - how do you say "thanks" in Cantonese?

write it phonetically for me, ok? - just curious - I know so few words in any Oriental language....

I know what you mean. My music gives the listeners brain damage and they go off and nobody sees them for ages. *sigh*

I'm glad the the friends that have listened have strong will power.

Drooly! Yeah that mp3 page of Mike's is really interesting :)

You asked a complicated question about saying 'thanks' in Cantonese - hahahahahhahahahaha We have TWO ways to say thank you:

"Mmm Goi" - this is thank you for a service.

"Door Je" - this is thank you for a gift.

When I get back to HK, I can record them for you as an mp3 cause in Cantonese the tones are VERY important. Let me know if you want me to :banana

SINTZ!!! I don't have strong will power! I Like your music! hahahahahahhahahahahaa Bribe me NOT to listen if you like :banana
