Hi all new to the messgage board here and wanted to get some feedback for my music. It mostly trance, intelligent techno, and dance. Just starting out on the scene, wanting to know if I should keep at it, or throw in the towel. You can find it on www.mp3.com/Snaplok any opinions will be great ones. Thanks

Snaplok,

I checked some of your tracks...

You have a good feel for high-pass-filtered sounds and room-ambience. Yes, I like especially your reverbs! Not bad!

Also you have a lot of musical humor :) )

Your little melody in your "Slammer2.0" drove me INSANE!!!!! :lol :lol :lol

That's too cool!

You really should not throw the towel! ;) :) :D

If I should start bickering... then about your "full arrangements"... on the one side there are a lot of changes going on... but you should look more for a smooth consistency for my taste. Too many breaks, sonud-changes and tempo-changes. This can be too much for the average listener... However, you should always do what you have in YOUR mind :)

MIKE

See this is the type of feedback I wanted. Nice of you to take the time to listen. I agree with you on one hand about the tempo and sound changes. I prefer to keep them the same straight thru, but for mass market appeal

I was told by my worst critics(i.e. friends that dj, wife, son(terrible when a toddler boos)) and from my major sampling of dance and techno songs, you gotta have change, or you bore the crap out of people. Plus without vocals the same beats gets redundant on a 6min song. But really thanks alot.
