I just saw this on another messageboard......
Quote: Just putting down a new track -
i have a nice distorted Drum track at 125bpms. and am trying to lay a Tremelo synth track on top of it....it sounds really nice - but the tremelo effect (which is internal in my synth) is naturally a bit erratic....and no matter how well I play it (or quantize it) I can't get it perfectly in time with the drums. Is there any way to regulate the tremelo effect? Or any other solutions?
That's a tricky question when the used equipment is not known. Many Keyboards can be synced to "MTC" (Midi Time Clock" via a sequencer. You can let the speed of the sequencer (or even sophisticated hardware drum machines) be the master clock of your Keyboard, your LFO's in particular you use to create the Tremolo effect.
If this is not a appropriate solution, I would simply change the speed of the drum track, until it fits the speed of the tremolo.
A ultimate solution would be, to connect the LFO-speed of the tremolo originator in your keyboard to the mod-wheel of your keyboard (maybe you have two mod-wheels on your keyboard). This way you can control the speed of the tremolo while recording.
