BERLIN, Germany (CNN) -- German authorities detained 14 suspects connected to the Iraqi militant group Ansar al-Islam and searched at least two dozen places across the country on Tuesday, the federal prosecutor's office in Karlsruhe said.
Among the suspects, three Iraqi members of Ansar al-Islam were arrested on charges of collecting money, delivering goods and driving for the group, the office said in a statement.
There was no evidence the suspects were planning any attacks in Germany, but the al Qaeda-linked group has been waging guerrilla and terrorist attacks in Iraq since the U.S.-led invasion in 2003 that toppled Saddam Hussein.
Searches were continuing as of Tuesday morning, authorities said.
Among 24 places searched were sites in Munich, Nuernberg, Regensburg, Stuttgart, Buehl, Kuppenheim, Euskirchen, Braunschweig and Kiel. One site in Basel, Switzerland, was also searched, the prosecutor's office said.
The three Iraqi suspects were to appear before a federal judge in Karlsruhe on Tuesday.

Yippee!!! Go dog go...go, go, go! Get 'em while they're hot!
PS - I hope the Islamic terrorists don't decide to try and coerce these countries as they have already done before in Spain. They succeeded before...not a good thing.
