No. What of it? One is probably very much influenced by the other, I am sure some creative writer has lended much of the story elsewere. Since the myth of Mithras is older than the writings about Jesus, well, you figure it out.

The reality is probably that we all worship some eqvivalence to Ilúvatar and holy scripts are the product of creative writers, or maybe Homer was right and the true gods are the Olympians?
