Hi, there.

Okay the discussion here already went out of line, but I was just listening to the tune and wanted to tell that I'm quite amazed by the production. It's a nice combination between rocking guitar riffs and an unmisunderstandably electronic production. Good work!

Not quite my style, I must admit, but alright!

:swirl

Great track.....!!

Seismic - it's none of my business at all, but those auctions, in my opinion, are not a good way to spend money.

You don't really get anything of value in return...

But, like I said, it's not my business..

I think with the auctions - you can boost your track into the top 20 which you can save the screenshot - it looks impressive to potential investors (labels etc.) if your song is mingling with Linkin Park, Madonna etc.

No way do you make the auction money back.

At least they sound more reasonable now - they used to run into the thousands for a slot....

Exactly, Chris...I know I'll never make all the money back, but "Sweet Rock Candy" would not be...

HERE AT #7

...if it weren't for the auctions I entered...I'd still be getting about 20 plays a day on average and selling 0 CD's...and if you click the little Red banner in the middle down there, he would have laughed at me 9 months ago when I contacted him about a deal....

And it does make for a nice "Resume'", so to speak....

HERE'S MINE...

Slowly but surely....not bad for 10 months of existence, I guess...:D

;)

P. S. - THANKS DEBBIE!! :we

If you are entering the auctions for making money back, you must be either totally illusional or somebody without a sense for business :D

Why would a site like MP3.com sell auction spots for money, to lose money then?

It's like insurance business.... calculated risk on one side and chances and security for both sides.

I see the auctions like newspaper advertising.

You spread your name and maybe you get ONE good contact from it.

I got tons of contacts through auctions and had possibilities I never would had without.

As a plus, you get some surprises like tracks running like crazy from alone, while you did not enter this specific track in the auction.

Overall.... if you take it serious with your music, you should participate in the auctions, not for every price, but if you get a cheap spot you absolutely do nothing wrong.

You even can print 500 colored flyers nobody reads for 200 bucks... you'll definitely get more back through the M3.com auctions.

Good that Seismic didn't bid to the extent... 200 - 250 bucks is the maximum you should pay for the TOP40 placement. ;)

Some very interesting and valid points expressed here.

Makes me re-consider my opinion of auctions....

I tend to agree Auto...

When I listen to the piece by Linkin Park they put in the last film, they are obviously looking for garbage, 'cause that's just what that is...with a "Name" band attached to it...:D

And So It Goes....:ohno

Yep...they have a "tune" in the current film...but to me it sounds like somebody with Techno EJay made it and put Linkin Park's name on it...

Sounds very Linkin Park. I crave the singer's voice though so it's a shame it's an instrumental......
