In my view, if Kerry flip flops, Bush all out lies, to far greater cost. If that's not a more heinous flip-flop, I don't know what is. Maybe I'm just not getting it, but what promise has Bush fulfilled for you, I seriously need to try and understand that.

Just understand that what you've said, along with a multitude of other factors, is why I won't vote for either...

As I said before, both major parties in the US are bought and paid for by the multinationals, and they both Suck IMO; they've driven this country into the ground for the most part...at the expense of the common man.

if Kerry doesnt win the world will be stuck with bush for the next 4 years, and there will be blood in the street. I think Kerry is less trigger happy and less willing to act unilaterally.

Please please, dont give the world bush for another 4 more years. One of them is going to win, but please for the sake of the greater peace, dont let it be bush.

Johnny's For Sale, too...check this out....

(Deb, you should find this especially interesting considering who they (Pakistan) were/are probably aiming the missles at...)

JOHNNY'S CHINESE CONNECTION

Quote:

The woman, Liu Chao Ying, worked in high ranking positions for two companies responsible for brokering one of the biggest and most controversial arms sales of the 1990's -- a $300-million missile deal with Pakistan. The two companies were sanctioned by the United States for their deals with Pakistan.

Good old American politics...Sucks, don't it??

here is a post on kerry fr4om another board. there is more to being a president and running the world than just that issue...

"Kerry is wealthy because of his two marriages to wealthy women. He isn't wealthy because he is some type of business genius like Warren Buffet, or a technical visionary like Bill Gates, or a hard-working risk taker like Branson. He's a gigilo.

Other than that, Kerry's had government jobs where taxpayers like me earn money and have it taxed to pay his salary. Even though he's married to an obscenely rich woman and owns several luxury homes, he still happily accepts the $178,000 salary plus benefits and great retirement plan I am paying for.

Notice that when he say he wants to increase taxes on the "wealthy" it's not him and his wife he's talking about. He's talking about taxing earned income - not inherited wealth. The people he wants to stick it to are those earning just north of that interesting $178,000 per year figure. His wife's money will remain untouchable.

In other words, he wants to hamstring guys like me - I was born poor and am working two jobs to get a little money ahead for retirement. None of his proposals will cost he and his wealthy heir of a second wife a dime.

Listen to some of is other proposals on the environment and economy then consider this:

He and his wife own several homes - all heated, cooled, and furnished. He has a 41 foot ocean racer with THREE engines. He rides around in one of several SUVs he owns. He does not offer up any of these luxuries to the poor or homeless he says he wants to help. He does not allow poor people to live in his place while he's living somewhere else. He wants to save the environment and tax gas even more than the 40%+ it is already taxed. I guess he can afford it.

His wife's maiden name is Heinz (as in the ketchup). She (partly) owns over fifty factories. Only 22 are in the US - the rest are outsourced overseas where labor is cheaper.

He served FOUR MONTHS in VietNam where he received three Purple Hearts. He wrote up his own endorsements for these awards. He made scathing comments about Bush's years in the Air Naitonal Guard, and even implied the president wasn't doing his duty. Bush responded by making public ALL his service records. Kerry has steadfastly refused to make his service records public.

Yup, Kerry wants to spend MY MONEY to "help" other people - not his. It's called buying votes."

another quote...

"John Kerry isn't impressed with the March job-creation numbers. In a statement Friday, he declared the month's 308,000 new jobs inadequate: "I've proposed a strategy that that [sic] revitalizes our manufacturing sector and puts us on track to create 10 million new jobs in the next four years."

Ten million new jobs? According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there are only 8.4 million unemployed people in America. As long as Kerry is promising to create more jobs than there are people to take them, why doesn't he go all the way and promise "billions and billions"?"

Quote:

At a combination speech and news conference at the White House, Bush rejected suggestions that Iraq was becoming another Vietnam — a quagmire without ready exit. "I think that analogy is false," he said. Bush said Gen. John Abizaid, the commander of U.S. forces in the Middle East, indicated he need more troops in Iraq. Abizaid told Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld he needs at least 10,000 more troops than he had previously envisioned. "If that's what he wants, that's what he gets," Bush said.

"And we'll need to be there for a while."

I seem to recall when I was just a little tike in 1966, my Dad was talking to a friend about how President Johnson had just said the same thing.

Damn. :seismo

is conjecture and surmise and just plain nastiness. It may or may not be true. What IS true is the lies that led to this war, your lost jobs and the ZERO credibility of the US as result of these idiots.

Whichever way Kerry got his purple heart (and you dont really know do you?), do you really believe it is WORSE than LYING to the entire country and world for something as serious as starting a WAR? For killing thousand upon thousands of people? For making the world open season for terrorists?

Getting three purple hearts for whatever reason and being married for money is equal to or worse than being a LIAR and MURDERER?

Well, wherever your partisan principles lie...:h

if a lot of people in the US truly believe that lame ass stuff about Kerry is worse than bush's criminality and that bush makes a better leader... it leads me to question whether there's any real thinking OR principles going on in the US. I'm not saying the majority thinks like this, but if bush wins, it will prove that the majority DO in fact think like this, wont it? Doesn't that scare you? that they actually can dismiss lies and the murder of innocents out of partisanship and a vague dislike of the other candidate? Oh My GOD. :ohno
